Entries are now open for the 2026 Argyllshire Gathering Piping Competition, taking place on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 August 2026 in Oban, Argyll.

Once your application has been considered, you will be notified by the end of March 2026 to say whether you have been accepted. You will then be able to pay your £50 entry fee online (if applicable).
Entries for the senior competitions, including the Senior Piobaireachd and the Former Winners March, Strathspey and Reel will close on 31 January 2026. Late entries will not be accepted. The £50 entry fee for accepted entrants must be received by 1st June 2026.
The Highland Society of London states that entries for The MacGregor Memorial competition should be received by 31st March 2026. This competition will be capped at 30 competitors; applicants will be notified no later than the end of April.
This year entries for the local and junior competitions must again be made online - entries on the field will not be accepted.
